Return & Refund Policy

At Devil’s Lantern Coffee Co., we want you to feel good about ordering from us. As a small business, every order matters to us, and we do our best to make sure your coffee arrives fresh, correct, and ready to enjoy.

Because coffee is a perishable consumable product, we are unable to accept returns on coffee, pods, and other edible items. That said, if something went wrong with your order, we want to hear from you and do our best to make it right.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@devilslanterncoffeeco.com.

To help us review the issue, we require the following:

  • your order number
  • a short description of the problem
  • clear photos of the product
  • clear photos of the original packaging
  • clear photos of the shipping box or mailer, including the label if possible

This helps us understand what happened and improve future orders. If your claim is approved, we may offer a:

  • replacement
  • store credit
  • or refund to your original payment method

Flavor Preferences

Coffee is personal, and taste can be subjective. Because of that, we do not offer refunds or returns based on flavor preference, roast preference, or personal taste.

If a coffee was just not the right fit for you, feel free to reach out. While we cannot guarantee a refund or replacement, we may offer a one-time courtesy solution in select cases.

Opened Products

We cannot accept returns on opened, used, or partially consumed coffee products.

Non-Food Items

Unused and unopened non-food items may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or we made an error.

Shipping Issues

We are not responsible for shipping delays, carrier issues, or problems caused by incorrect shipping information entered at checkout, so please double-check your address before placing your order.

Refund Timing

If a refund is approved, it will be issued to your original payment method. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for your bank or card provider to process it.

Policy Abuse

To protect our small business, we reserve the right to refuse refunds, replacements, or store credit in cases of repeated claims or suspected misuse of this policy.

To protect our small business, we reserve the right to deny refunds, replacements, or store credit when a claim is unsupported by the condition of the product, packaging, and shipping materials provided. We also reserve the right to limit or refuse future service in cases of suspected fraud, repeated claims, chargeback abuse, or misuse of this policy.
